On Friday we decided to start checking items off of our summer To Do List and had homemade pizza for dinner and then went out for gelato.
Little Lowell had a blast making the pizza and even waited patiently by the oven while it baked.
He is a very good eater and will usually eat whatever we put in front of him, but he especially took to his sausage and veggie pizza.
Afterwards Grandma and Grandpa joined us for gelato at our favorite shop nearby.
We took our treat and sat by the lake although one of us had very little interest in staying in one place.
We got up bright and early on Saturday and drove up to Prescott for the day.
The weather was beautiful so we hiked a couple miles up Granite Mountain.
We didn't make very good time as someone wanted to stop and touch almost every tree we walked past.

After the hike we had a picnic by the lake and then walked around the town.
The little guy must have felt pretty special because he got ice cream two days in a row. He was very adamant about holding his own cone and needless to say but he made quite a big mess.
