New Year and a New Workshop

One of my New Year's resolutions was to be better about blogging especially since so many of our friends and family have told us how much they enjoy getting our updates. I will also try to add more explanation to the photos instead of just adding a dozens of adorable pictures of Little Lowell!  We have a ton of house projects planned for this year and decided that Lowell needed a better work space. The garage had a good sized storage area that was very unorganized and really needed to be cleaned out. I didn't take a before picture, but it looked like something out of an episode of hoarders!

After we cleared the shelves Lowell went to work and quickly cleared the area. Lowell got a tool cabinet and work bench over the holidays and we knew this would be the perfect spot for them.
Here is the completed project. Lowell finally now has a place for all of his man "decor" which didn't quite make the cut for inside of the house.

Here is a view of the tool cabinet that also came with a work top area. Don't you love the flame shop seat?
Here is a view of the new work bench that Lowell got at Harbor Freight. We just discovered this store a few months ago and are now slightly obsessed.
Little Lowell is also very pleased by our progress in the garage since he is now allowed in there under dad's close supervision. He will actually go to the door during the day and start banging on it and yelling "garage, garage, garage." Lowell as been all smiles about his garage and Little Lowell is happy that all of our sporting equipment is now easily accessible, but I still feel like the real winner here since my two guys have been spending so much time in the garage together!

Since we are going to start posting on this blog a few times a week now I thought I would go ahead and clear the email list so as not to start flooding inboxs. If you would still like to get these posts delivered to your inbox just let me know and I will put you back on. Thanks!
